The first important physical result was obtained by CRD scientists some 10 years ago [3]: it was convincingly shown that the position of the "knee" is charge-dependent. This finding was later on independently confirmed by KASKADE data [3]. This result by YerPhi scientists provided a definite argument in favor of the scenario, where cosmic rays are accelerated due to multiple interaction withshock-waves produced in SNRs (Supernovae remnants) [4].
