A. Alikhanyan Laboratory is the national science laboratory of Armenia. The main research focus of the laboratory is in high energy physics, astrophysics, nuclear physics, scientific instrumentation, and big data analysis. The mission of the laboratory is to perform world class research in Armenia and to participate in international collaborations overseas.

Alikhanyan National Laboratory seeks a talented and enthusiastic assistant to assist and to lead the day-to-day operation of the Alikhanyan National Laboratory.

Examples of responsibilities include:

  • ü  laboratory wide research coordination;
  • ü  contributing to the development of interdisciplinary connections;
  • ü  science communication through print and online media working with the PR group; introduction and integration of new participants to the laboratory,
  • ü  knowledge of and working with the administrative and scientific data bases;
  • ü  authoring letters; assisting in financial planning;
  • ü  and working with Alikhanyan management staff and director.

Candidates should have outstanding interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills in Armenian, Russian and English with a strong interest in science administration. They should also be self-motivated and able to work independently. No formal management experience is required, but significant experience in management and organizational skills is desirable. A Ph.D. in a STEM science is desirable.
