press release #13
Conference “Advanced Materials and Devices for Space Applications”, ISTC Thematic Workshop, May 26-28, 2009,
The workshop held at the Yerevan Physics Institute, supported by ISTC
and was devoted to review the advances in space environment, space
factors modeling, test of materials and devices in space modeling
equipment, work out of new materials for the use in space and radiation
conditions.
International competition and international cooperation in this area are key issues in all the countries where the science and technology are esteemed. Reports and discussion of the topics of the workshop were
focused on the development of most effective new technologies of obtaining new materials and devices applicable in different fields of
research and industry. Hopefully, the seminar would contribute greatly to cooperation of space sciences related research projects with
industry, and possible collaboration between the West and East
organizations.
